Buchmeier Family

The Buchmeiers were the family of my husband Larry's Grandmother Sara Buchmeier Head.

Sara's Grandfather August G. Buchmeier immigrated to the United States, from Germany, in February 1859 arriving at the Port of Chicago via Quebec, Canada. He married Charlotte Krueckberg, who had arrived from Germany in February 1860, on May 5, 1860 at the home of her sister in Cook County, Illinois. In May 1878 they moved to Wells Creek, Wabaunsee County, Kansas.
