Patton Family

Patton Family James Elvas Patton

The Pattons are my husband Larry's paternal ancestors.

His Grandfather, James Elvas Patton served as a Private, U.S. Army, 329th Infantry, 83rd Division, during World War I, in Europe. He died of cancer at age 51 while Larry's dad was serving in World War II.

Larry's Great Grandfather John Tweed Patton immigrated to the vicinity of Wellsville, Kansas in 1877, where he was a farmer. In 1911 he retired from farming and moved into the city of Wellsville where he was a practicing veterinarian for many years until failing health caused him to give up his practice.
