Notes for Henry Beeler
He lived at Junction City for 62 years. He lived at the Elks Club for many years later in life. His parents, Adolf Beeler, Sr. and Johanna Drechel Beeler emigrated from Germany to the United States.

He farmed for most of his life. For several years he was the foreman for he C.B. Gill Ranch, west of Junction City. Later he was weighmaster for a large coal company at Gallup and Raton, New Mexico.

After his return form New Mexico he again farmed for several years before moving to Junction City. Before retiring he worked as a custodian at the Franklin and other city school buildings.

His wife, Mary and their only daughter, Florence died within a short space of time in February, 1908. He never remarried.

Obituary:
Henry Beeler, 85, a esident of this communitry for 62 years, died unexpectedly about 10:30 Sunday evening at his room in the Elks club, where he had resided for many years.

Mr. Beeler had been in poor health for several years. He was born October 22, 1862, the son of Adolph Beeler, Sr., and Johanna Drechel Beeler, both of whom emigrated from Germany to the United States.

He was engaged in farming most of his life. For several years he was foreman for the C.B. Gill ranch, west of Junction City. Later he was weighmaster for a large coal company at Gallup and Raton, New Mexico.

After his return from New Mexico he again farmed for several yars before moving to Junction City. Several years ago he retired after working as the custodian at the Franklin and oher cit school buildings.

Mr. Beelers wife, the former Miss Mary Lictenhan, and their only daughter, Florence both died within a short space of time in February 1908. He had never remarried.

Surviving relatives are two sisters, Mrs. Edward Reitz and Mrs. A.W. Edwards, both of Junction City; five nephews, Rev. Donald Reita, New York City, A. Thornton Edwards, of Manhattan, Commander Harvey E. Reitz of Philadelphia, Karl D. Edwards of Lawrence, Paul H. Edwards, of Wichita, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. O. C. Beeler, who lives west of Junction City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Johnson Funeral home with Dr. D. F. McDowell in charge. Burial will be iin Highland cemetery.
