| The Antwerp Bee-Argus, Antwerp, Ohio, Thursday, May 9. 1935 - Death of Robert Hawkins - Mr. Robert Hawkins, a life-long resident of Antwerp, passed away at his home in that place on Thursday morning, May 2nd, 1935, at the age of 66 years. He had been in failing health for a year or more. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church in Antwerp on Sunday, May 5th, conducted by the pastor, Reverend Childs. Interment was made in the new Antwerp cemetery. Judge Carr and his son LaVonne furnished music at the funeral. Mr. Hawkins was a long time member of the fire department and was ever faithful at the task. Advancing years compelled him to relinquish active work as a fireman some time ago and he was made an honorary member of the organization. | The Antwerp Bee-Argus, Antwerp, Ohio, Thursday, January 20, 1944 - Death Of Celia V. Hawkins - Mrs. Celia Hawkins, 77, died Tuesday, January 18, 1944, at her home on East Canal street after an illness of two weeks with heart disease. Mrs. Hawkins was born at Antwerp Ohio, May 31, 1866, and was aged 77 years, 7 months, and 18 days. She spent her entire life in Antwerp. Her husband, Robert Hawkins, preceded her in death several years ago. Survivors are: five sons, John Hawkins, Port Clinton, Ohio; Porter and Fred, Antwerp; Harry of Detroit; Gerald, U.S. Navy; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Breay, of Maumee, Ohio; Mrs. Alta Franklin, Dixon, Ohio; a brother, Spencer VanBuskirk, and a foster brother, Earl Hanner, both of Bowling Green, Ohio; 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Schilb Funeral Home with Reverend Fred S. Malott officiating. Burial in Maumee Cemetery.
