| The Antwerp Bee-Argus, Antwerp, Ohio, Thursday, May 9. 1935 - Death of Robert Hawkins - Mr. Robert Hawkins, a life-long resident of Antwerp, passed away at his home in that place on Thursday morning, May 2nd, 1935, at the age of 66 years. He had been in failing health for a year or more. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church in Antwerp on Sunday, May 5th, conducted by the pastor, Reverend Childs. Interment was made in the new Antwerp cemetery. Judge Carr and his son LaVonne furnished music at the funeral. Mr. Hawkins was a long time member of the fire department and was ever faithful at the task. Advancing years compelled him to relinquish active work as a fireman some time ago and he was made an honorary member of the organization.
